The British Beer & Pub Association
The British Beer & Pub Association is the UK’s leading organisation representing the brewing and pub sector. Its members account for over 90 per cent of the beer brewed in the UK and own almost half of Britain’s pubs. Across the UK, the sector contributes over £23 billion to the economy on an annual basis, and creates around 900,000 jobs. 40% of those employed in the industry are young people, and the sector provided £2 billion in investment last year. Yet pubs, often operating as individual small businesses, are faced with an increasing number of costs and regulatory burdens that hamper the ability of the sector to reach its full economic potential.
